Midway during the morning the stewards went out onto the course to give out hot chocolate among the players, who were very appreciative of the courtesy shown by the club. “Despite the freezing weather lately, the team at Valle Romano managed to maintain the course in excellent condition and comforted the players with their excellent service,” one of the tournament participants remarked.

Pedro Muñoz yesterday departed with a loaf of bread under his arm after winning the grand final on the Zambomtour with 34 points. Among other gifts, a large loaf of bread and a whole ham took centre stage on a pleasant, enjoyable day.
